Studio Policies

✦ Registration & Payment

Advance registration and full payment are required for scheduled workshops and other reserved experiences unless otherwise stated. Studio Project reservations are recommended so we can hold your space and prepare your materials.

Walk-ins are welcome during posted Open Studio hours when space and project materials are available.

✦ Cancellations & Changes

Payments for scheduled workshops, Studio Project reservations and other reserved creative experiences are nonrefundable. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for studio credit.

Requests made with fewer than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows, are not eligible for a refund, rescheduling or studio credit.

Party and private-event deposits are nonrefundable and follow a separate 21-day rescheduling policy. Please review our full Refund & Cancellation Policy for complete details.

✦ If We Must Cancel

If Violet’s Crayon cancels a workshop, reserved experience, party or private event, you may choose a full refund to the original payment method or studio credit for the full amount paid.

✦ Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time so you can enjoy the complete experience. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but instruction and project time may be limited, and the scheduled end time generally cannot be extended.

For parties and private events, we will make reasonable efforts to help a late maker catch up when the project and schedule allow. A finished project cannot be guaranteed, and late arrival does not extend the event’s scheduled end time.

✦ Party Reservations & Pricing

A party date is not held by an inquiry, submission of the terms form or verbal discussion. A reservation is confirmed only after Violet’s Crayon approves the date and time, receives the customer’s acceptance of the current Party Reservation Terms and receives the $150 nonrefundable deposit. The final project may be selected afterward.

The party package is $450 for up to 10 participating makers and remains $450 if fewer than 10 attend. Each additional participating maker is $45.

Your best final estimate of the participating-maker count, nonparticipating guest count and event details is due seven days before the event so we can prepare the studio, materials and staffing. The $450 package price applies for up to 10 makers. Additional makers are $45 each and are billed according to the number who actually participate. Approved personalized items, premium favors, special-order materials and other quantity-based extras are charged according to the quantity ordered, even if a guest is unable to attend. Unexpected additional makers are subject to studio capacity and material availability.

Premium projects, specialty materials, upgraded claw-machine favors and other optional extras are priced before the customer approves them. Premium claw-machine favors apply to the full participating group. No sales tax, service fee or credit-card fee is added to the party service package. Separately purchased physical items and party-favor upgrades are subject to applicable sales tax.

Maximum attendance is confirmed case by case based on participant ages, project format, staffing and comfortable use of the studio.

✦ Party Timing, Food & Finale

Private parties and events begin and end at the times stated in the booking confirmation. The two-hour reservation includes guest arrival, the guided project, food, cake and singing, the group finale, photos, gathering projects and belongings, and departure. Additional studio time is not available on the day of the event unless arranged and approved in advance.

To protect the quality and timing of the experience, the event follows this sequence: guided project, food, cake and singing, group finale, and departure. The project is not postponed so food can be served first. Food must be ready to serve one hour after the scheduled start time.

The host supplies all food, cake, nonalcoholic drinks, plates, cups, napkins, utensils, candles, serving items and related supplies. The host may arrive up to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time with those items and approved decorations. Food that arrives early will be set aside until the project is complete; Violet’s Crayon cannot guarantee refrigeration, warming or temperature control.

Child and teen events conclude with the claw machine and include one guaranteed standard prize for each participating maker. Adult events may use the claw machine or another planned finale.

✦ Open Studio & Project Availability

Walk-ins are welcome during posted Open Studio hours when space is available. Reserving a Studio Project in advance is the best way to secure your preferred time and help us prepare the appropriate materials.

Project availability may vary based on supplies, preparation requirements, age guidance and available studio time.

✦ Children & Supervision

Age guidance and participation requirements are listed with each offering. Younger children may require a parent or guardian to remain in the studio or participate alongside them.

Unless an experience is specifically described as drop-off, a responsible adult must remain available and supervise the child as directed by studio staff.

✦ Behavior & Studio Conduct

We want Violet’s Crayon to feel welcoming, safe and creative for everyone. Respectful behavior is expected from all guests.

We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave without refund or credit if behavior is disruptive, unsafe or damaging to the studio, materials or another guest’s experience.

✦ Messy Materials & Personal Items

Art can be messy. Please wear clothing and shoes that can get paint, glue, glitter or other creative materials on them. Violet’s Crayon is not responsible for stains or damage to clothing, devices or other personal belongings.

✦ Food & Allergies

Unless specifically stated, food is not included in regular workshops, reserved projects or Open Studio. For private parties and events, the host supplies all food, cake, nonalcoholic drinks and related serving items, and food is served during the designated celebration portion of the event.

Please tell us about relevant allergies or sensitivities before participating. While we will make reasonable efforts to help, Violet’s Crayon cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or materials.

✦ Photography

From time to time, Violet’s Crayon may photograph finished projects or studio activities for promotional purposes. If you prefer that you or your child not appear in photographs, please tell us in writing before the experience begins.
