Refunds, Cancellations & Changes
We understand that plans sometimes change.
Because Violet’s Crayon has limited studio space and begins preparing for experiences once they are reserved, payments hold time, space, materials and staffing specifically for you. The policies below explain what happens when a reservation or purchase needs to be changed.

Workshops, Studio Projects & Reserved Experiences
Payments for scheduled workshops, Studio Project reservations and other reserved creative experiences are nonrefundable.
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time will receive studio credit for the amount paid.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund, rescheduling or studio credit.
- No-shows are not eligible for a refund or studio credit.
You may also give your reserved spot to another guest. Please contact us before the experience so we can update the reservation.
Birthday Parties & Private Events
Party and private-event deposits are nonrefundable. Your deposit reserves the date and time exclusively for your group and is applied toward the final event balance.
- With at least 21 calendar days’ notice, the deposit may be transferred one time to another available event date.
- The new event must take place within 12 months of the originally scheduled event date and is subject to studio availability and then-current package pricing.
- If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, the deposit is not eligible for a cash refund or general studio credit.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 21 calendar days before the event are not eligible for a refund, date transfer or studio credit.
- If a transferred event is later canceled or needs to be moved again, the deposit is forfeited.
Any event balance paid in advance becomes nonrefundable within 21 days of the event. If an event is canceled earlier than 21 days before its scheduled date, payments made above the deposit will be returned to the original payment method, less any nonrecoverable custom-material or personalization costs.
Custom materials, personalized items and special-order supplies are nonrefundable once they have been purchased or prepared for your event.
Studio Credit
When studio credit is provided, it:
- Is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued
- May be applied toward an eligible future Violet’s Crayon experience or booking
- Has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for a cash refund
- Cannot be used after its expiration date
If Violet’s Crayon Cancels
If Violet’s Crayon cancels a workshop, reservation, party or private event, guests may choose either:
- A full refund to the original payment method, or
- Studio credit for the full amount paid
The same options apply if the studio must close because of severe weather, a power outage or another emergency. Refunds generally take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on the original payment method and financial institution.
Retail Items & Take-Home Kits
Unused and unopened non-custom retail items may be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase for studio credit.
Opened, used, discounted, custom, personalized and special-order items are final sale. Gift cards are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
If an item is damaged or incorrect, please contact us within seven days so we can make it right.
Need to Change Your Plans?
Please contact Violet’s Crayon as soon as possible and include the name on the reservation plus the scheduled date and time. A request is considered received when Violet’s Crayon receives the message; notice periods are measured from the scheduled start time.
